DAY 1: BALMACEDA – COYHAIQUE Upon arrival, it is recommended that the visitor pick up his/her vehicle from the car office at the airport or city, along with a map and driving description. It will take the visitor approximately about an hour and a half to arrive to Coyhaique. Lodging at a hotel in Coyhaique.
DAY 2: COYHAIQUE – CHILE CHICO Trip to the south along the Carretera Austral to arrive to Puerto Ibáñez. A ferryboat will take the visitor to the bi-national Lake General Carrera towards Chile Chico. Lodging at a hostel in Chile Chico. (B)
DAY 3: CHILE CHICO – COCHRANE Enjoy a magnificent trip long the Lake General Carrera from Chile Chico to Cochrane. Lodging at a hostel in Cochrane. (B)
DAY 4: COCHRANE We suggest travelling to the town of Tortel or get to know Reserva Nacional Tamango or Reserva Nacional Lake Cochrane. Lodging at the same hostel. (B)
DAY 5: COCHRANE – LAKE GENERAL CARRERA A short trip will take you to the second largest lake in South America, Lake. Several cabins offer very good-quality lodging and enjoy a beautiful panoramic view of the lake. Lodging at Mallín Colorado or similar. (B, D)
DAY 06: LAKE GENERAL CARRERA Exploring the surroundings, rowing in a boat towards the Capilla de Marmol, enjoying some horse-back riding or optional trekking offered by your hotel. – Cabin. (B,D)
DAY 7: LAKE GENERAL CARRERA – BALMACEDA Return trip to Balmaceda airport to return the vehicle. (B)
